Fall Favorite: Leather Jacket

For years I have been in search of the perfect leather jacket. I was a competitive swimmer for 16 years, and unfortunately I still have the broad shoulders to prove it.  At times it's seemingly impossible to find a jacket that fits my broad shoulders and short arms while also fitting my torso properly. 

A few weeks ago my mom, grandma, and I popped into our local J.McLaughlin store and I immediately grabbed the 'Ryder' jacket and gave it a try. The fit (and look) was perfection. The quilting makes the leather jacket work appropriate, but thrown over a slinky, black dress it's perfect for a night out on the town.

The black and gold striped sweater I have on is also J.McLaughlin, and although you can't see them very well in this picture there are sparkles throughout the gold! It's the perfect sweater for the upcoming holiday season (can you believe it's almost November?!), and pairs perfectly with this Sutton + Somervell necklace combo.

 Last night I diligently set my alarm clock for 3AM and proceeded to have nightmares comparable to the ones I would always have the night before college class scheduling. You know the ones.... where you get knocked out of every class you need and end up having to take all of your classes at either 8AM or 8PM. Well this time I was dreaming that everything I wanted sold out, which I admit is pathetic, but it happened.

 

Then at 3:10 AM my nightmare came true.... no adorable Halogen Quilted Jacket for me. It reminds me of Pippa Middleton's quilted jacket, and would have been a classic piece for work, a night out, or pretty much any occasion in between. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone returns a size medium that I can scoop up! If you're interested in Taupe that color is still available!

One thing I did manage to grab from the sale is the Clarisonic Mia 2 Ibiza Sarong Sonic Skin Cleansing System. I've been considering buying one for quite some time now, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Expect a full review sometime soon!
