Kate Spade 25% Off

I hate when my favorite brands have great sales right around the holidays.

I mean yes, it's great to have 25% off when you're holiday shopping, but I'm always so tempted to buy things for myself. Every year I try to stop buying things for myself at the start of November - the season is supposed to be about giving, and I try to keep it that way. (Plus someone might buy me whatever I was going to buy myself for Christmas anyway #realtalk).

BUT if I was going to indulge in Kate Spade's 25% off sale this weekend with unlimited amounts of money (day dreaming here people)....this is what I would buy:

Seriously, it's the cutest thing in the world - Owl Coin Purse

I'm usually not a fan of booties, but I saw a girl trying these on at my local Kate Spade store (Easton Town Center), and they were stunning. The gold heel does the trick - Netta Boots

Oh, and they happen to match my outfit today perfectly *slams head on table*

This is literally the most perfect watch. It's just the right size, can be dressed up/down, and has little crystals in place of numbers. Plus the 25% off makes it super affordable - Gramercy Crystal

So I actually already own this, but I'm sharing because you should too :)

This. Entire. Outfit. (minus the sunglasses) It looks like the leopard coat is sold out, but still....I've been eyeing that dress for quite some time - Rissa Dress

What have you been eyeing? Will you purchase anything in the sale?

Sale Code: HOLWD13 (valid today and tomorrow)

#JCrewStyleSessions

Last night I went to my local J.Crew store for J.Crew "Style Sessions" - basically it's an event where all of the personal stylists are all in attendance, there are a few snacks, and you put together fun outfits with all the new clothes (with the chance to be featured in an upcoming style guide).

I put this fall inspired outfit together with my favorite J.Crew stylist, Jenna, and unfortunately fell in love with everything....
I would buy these pants in every single color if I could, they are AMAZING.

.....I was also surprised by how much I liked the loafers. I would never have picked them out on my own, but when Jenna brought them over and I slid them on I fell in love.

BthreeButtons {Giveaway}

Whew. Things have been insane lately, and I plan to get you all updated throughout the week but today I have a fun earring giveaway for you!

Yep. I said giveaway....so make sure you keep reading and enter!

Catie from Books, Beauty, and Bars on a Budget generously sent me some earrings from her Etsy shop BthreeButtons. The earrings come in extremely cute fabric patterns (I'm loving this new chevron pair) and are super inexpensive at only $6.

I tend to wear the same jewelry every single day because it's just so easy to consistently grab the same pieces when you're running out the door, but these earrings make it super early to add a little bit of a "pop" to your outfit without really trying.

I picked out the Fabric Covered "Trish" Earrings because I'm a sucker for polka-dots, and one lucky reader will also get to pick out a pair of earrings compliments of BthreeButtons!

Good luck, and thanks for entering!

Lily and Laura Bracelets

A few weeks ago I started noticing these beautiful beaded bracelets on Pinterest and around campus....I soon found out that they were Lilly and Laura bracelets, and I made it my life mission that week to find a place that sold them.

Fortunately I hit the jackpot at a little boutique uptown (that's what we call the little "downtown" area at Miami). For those of you who don't know, Lily and Laura bracelets are hand crocheted glass bead bracelets made by women in Nepal.  You can check out their Facebook page here.

These are the bracelets that I have on today...they are definitely a huge trend here at Miami and are the perfect addition to any stack.  Any time I go uptown to check out the bracelets I find myself literally spending 20 minutes sifting through and matching up different colors and patterns.  They run about $12 each (and my boutique offers 3 for $30), but be careful there are lots of knockoffs!!

p.s. for those who care T-Swizzle is also a fan of Lily and Laura and wrote a post about her collection of them way back in September.

Stella & Dot {Giveaway}

So I know by now all of you have heard of Stella & Dot, and if you're one of the few that hasn't head of them they have wonderfully chic, fun jewelry for very reasonable prices. Amanda Shelly was sweet enough to contact me about doing a review/giveaway for a simply adorable Stella & Dot piece.

You're swooning already, right?!

Amanda was generous enough to send me the "Light Bracelet" - I wear a ton of silver jewelry, so this was the perfect addition to my daily wrist-wear.  I love the daintiness of the bracelet and how it contrasts with my larger bracelets however, I think my favorite part is that even though it's designed to look like a friendship bracelet it has a real chain to keep it nice.

I've literally worn it everyday since I got it - it goes with everything.

One of you lucky ladies is going to have the chance to win the "Love Bracelet" if you complete one (or more) of the steps below - the more you complete the better your chances!

The giveaway will run Monday, February 25 - Friday, March 1 at midnight. Good Luck :)

York Design Co.

A few months ago I became acquainted with Laura of York Design Co. - Laura's shop sells personalized needlepoint cuffs in a variety of prints, patterns, colors, etc...

One of my favorite items from her shop is the monogrammed cuff, which you're able to customize with the colors and pattern of your choice. I'm not sure if I'd really have anything to customize though, I'm loving the navy and pink as is.

Laura sent me a red cuff with gold hockey sticks (for the many Miami hockey games I attend), and I can't get over how cute it is.  This will definitely be on my wrist at our next home hockey game...only one week from tomorrow!

Are you lusting over any of the York Design Co. cuffs?

Personalized Ring

About a month ago I posted about how much I loved the cut out monogram ring from Personalized From Me to You.  By now almost everybody has a monogram necklace and this is such a unique take on monogrammed jewelry. Plus, I hardly have any rings and had been looking for a fun one for the longest time... So Personalized From Me to You was nice enough to send me a ring to review!

I've never been a huge fan of my monogram "EDE" but I love how it looks in script and how it turned out on the ring - it's adorable!

Although I did not pay for the ring all thoughts, pictures, and opinions are my own.

Put a Monogram On It

My mom was never a big monogrammed when I was growing up. I of course had my initials "EED" on my LL Bean backpack in elementary school (the year my mom left out my middle initial and I was left with "ED" was a bad year), but other than that not much else was monogrammed.

But as I've gotten older I've really grown to appreciate a good monogram, and have taken up Reese Witherspoons motto "if it's not moving, monogram it."

The #1 item on my monogram wish list is this monogrammed ring from Personalized From Me to You. I'm always looking for a good ring (I'm picky about them), and I think this would be perfect for everyday wear, plus not everyone has them....yet.

What monogrammed item do you have your eye on?

Ridiculousness

A few weeks ago I became extremely infatuated with this LOFT bracelet, so as an early birthday present (August 30....coming up) my mom bought it for me.

See? Isn't it adorable?!?

Well, I wore it out on a date and when I got home one of the crystals was missing. And hello, it was a movie - so I was really hardly moving my arm at all. The next day I took if back and the salesgirl happily exchanged it for me. Well, low and behold I wore the new one for the first time to class today (keep in mind it's only about 11:30 right now) and the new bracelet has already lost a crystal.

Exhibit A:

That's right folks, I wore it for less than 3 hours and it already broke. I'm extremely disappointed with LOFT....and am annoyed that I can't take it back again. Because I'm currently at school in the middle of nowhere. I won't be buying any more accessories from LOFT unless they correct this situation somehow - because, honestly this is just ridiculous. I would expect this from a $3 Forever 21 bracelet, but not from a $30 bracelet from what I thought was a really good quality company.

Has something like this ever happened to you?

P.S. My outfit was super cute with this bracelet, I will share it later this week!

Make a Day of It

Ok, so my watch obsession started freshman year of college. Each year I have gotten a new one and I love and wear all three of them on a regular basis. Despite the fact I received a new Fossil watch for Christmas I am completely enamored by this Kate Spade bangle-watch.

The confetti polk-a-dots are adorable - (and match the Twirl perfume bottle). And the inscription on the underside of the bangle is "Make A Day Of It".

Too. Cute.

I think this would be the most adorable conversation piece - and something a little different from the other watched I have.

Here's to hoping it ends up in my Easter basket.

(wishful thinking at its best)

Real.

Today I stumbled upon the most adorable bracelets.

However, you have to have read The Hunger Games to understand the meaning (and if you haven't read the Hunger Games please, please do).

This was one of my absolute favorite lines in the third book, and I adore the idea that someone was clever enough to make them into bracelets!

Hunger Game readers - do you love these as much as I do?

Light, Leopard Layers

It was supposed to reach 60 degrees today (although I'm not sure if it actually did) so I kept my layers pretty light with just a button down shirt and a cardigan. I also had an exam and I feel 1,000 times more confident when I'm in a button down - I have no idea why, maybe because it feels more professional?

Cardigan: J.Crew Jackie Cardigan (black), Top: J.Crew Perfect Shirt (leopard),
Jeans: J.Crew Matchstick, and Boots: Born

Close up on my Tiffany necklace - I wear it almost every day but you can hardly see it. I got it for my 13th birthday from my parents.

I painted my nails yesterday and went with OPI "Eiffel for This" and I may add a sparkle/crackle layer to spice it up this weekend. Finally, my ring is a Yurman pass down from my Gradma (she's only 71 and extremely healthy, but still insists on giving jewelry away - whatever, I'll take it!).

What did you wear today?

A Spotted Statement

I love statement jewelry, and have collected quite a few fun pieces over the year, but let's be honest most of the time I wear the same three pieces of jewelry each and every day. One of my favorite bracelets is a purple sparkle bracelet from J.Crew but unfortunately it only really goes with my winter clothes.

Which is why I love this giraffe bracelet from J.Crew

I think this would be adorable with summer chinos, capris, skirts, and dresses. Plus the pink looks like it's a relatively neutral shade and would go with just about everything. Hopefully we will see it go on sale soon.

If I had a Valentine this year this is what I would be asking him for. Do you like statement pieces like this? I think they are so fun.

First Day of February OOTD

Well today is February 1st, can you believe it? Here in Ohio it is a crazy 57 degrees which I am absolutely loving, but since we have had absolutely no snow this year I'm afraid that winter's going to sneak up on us this month or next.

When you live in Ohio you get used to having sporadic weather.

Today I took full advantage of the weather and pulled out my brand new navy trench coat, and wore flats instead of riding boots for the first time in I don't know how long.

Sweater: Madewell, Tank: Lucky Brand, Headband: J.Crew, Jeans: J.Crew Matchstick, Trench: J.Crew

On my bracelet stack I'm wearing a purple Fossil watch that I got for Christmas as well as my Tiffany charm bracelet - complete with a new, little Miami "M" charm :)

And lastly, I'm wearing my Tory Burch Metallic Kendrick Leather Drivers (you get a nice look at my fat feet on the back of the desk in front of me). These shoes are the only thing I own from Tory Burch - they retail for $275 but one day in December the Tory Burch Facebook Page did a special sale for fans where these were marked down to $125. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

What are you wearing on this beautiful, first day of February?

Fritz and Frannie

I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I received a message from my friend Erica over at Fashion Meets Food saying I had won the pink and navy Fritz and Frannie Silk Knot Earrings. I've entered sooo many giveaways hoping to win a pair and I finally won!

Now all I need is a pair of Red and White for my Miami Redhawks....and maybe a pair of the Scarlet and Grey for my buckeyes. Coincidentally, they are playing each other in basketball tonight and I will of course be cheering on Miami, but the rest of my family is rooting for the Bucks. Uhhh ohhh a little family rivalry going down tonight.

It's also my mom's birthday today - she is honestly the most amazing mom in the world, and I can't even express how much I appreciate her. Pictures to come tomorrow!

Tiffany 1837 Collection

The hoop earrings that my parents got me for my birthday were from the Tiffany 1837 Collection. My mom kept talking about how cool she thought some of the other pieces from the collection were so I went on Tiffany's website to do a little investigating.

The Tiffany 1837 Circle Bracelet
Everything in this line revolves around circles and I love how unique this bracelet is. I have the original Tiffany charm bracelet and I think this would be a fun alternative and can be very versatile.

The TIffany 1837 Interlocking Circles Lariat
I love how the two interlocking circles slide through the first circle - it's a really interesting necklace and is definitely a conversation piece. This would look fantastic with v-necks since it has a little more length to it I hate wearing necklaces with short chains with v-necks.

Tiffany 1837 Interlocking Circles Pendant
This is a basic pendant, but the two interlocking circles really give it something extra.

Anything you girls are liking from Tiffany? I've been eyeing some sunglasses as well....

What's Your Code?

So I may just be really late in discovering these, but I am obsessed with the Lulu Frost CODE rings. I love the idea of being able to pick one number or multiple numbers of significance and wear them as a set. I've heard of people wearing their graduation year, significant other's birthday, hometown zip codes, sports numbers, ect.....

However, these little gems are $440 a piece, maybe (hopefully) a more wallet-friendly look alike will come along soon, because I love the look and idea of these - but the price tag....not so much

What number/number combination would you guys get? I think I would either get my graduation year, birthday, or favorite hockey boy's number (I know, obsessed much?)

Outfit of the Day: Father's Day

I had to laugh when I was taking this picture because I realized that all my outfit of the day posts have been from sunday. Because literally the only time I am not in a swimsuit is when I'm going to church or working at the restaurant. And as you can see from my lovely tan line I have not been wearing bikinis - its all one pieces for coaching and guarding :) My stomach is white....and trust me, nobody wants to see my tummy until this girl looses some weight.

Dress: Lilly Pulitzer
Sweater: Lilly Pulitzer
Shoes: J. Crew
Bracelet/Ring: Mariana
Earrings : Tiffany Open Heart

On Saturday between lifeguarding and working at the restaurant my grandma and I stopped my a local boutique and bought a ring and bracelet that are made by MarianaIt's always fun to have some statement jewelry since I tend to stick with my everyday TIffany necklaces and earrings so these caught my eye pretty quickly.

What Time Is It?

I've been eyeing this tortoise Fossil watch that a girl in my english class had on yesterday however, I don't really want to spend any money without putting some thought into the purchase first.

I've been seeing watches absolutely everywhere around campus lately and they used to be nowhere to be found. I think they're really fun acessories and look classy and simple with everyday outfits.

I tend to not even notice when mine stops working...whoops.

I even came up with outfits I could wear it with. As you can see, I've put a lot of thought into this. So I need to get the watch, right? Along with the outfits of course...

I knew you girls would back me up!
