Fall Fashion Trends + Perfect Leopard Booties

Yesterday I stumbled across this 'Google Trends' map of the top searched fashion trend in each state. I love looking across the map and seeing how different (and sometimes the same) different parts of the country are.

Arizona obviously isn't worrying about cold weather moving in any time soon, so they're still searching where to find the best sun hats... must be nice. Our cowboys in Oklahoma are looking for some new stirrup pants, while Alabamans are searching for smocked dresses for, presumably, their cute little girls.  I'm on the same page as NY where everyone is looking for 'autumn cashmere' as well as my home state, Ohio, looking for some cute booties!

Welp, it didn't take me long to find a pair of adorable leopard booties to drool over:

These perfect booties are Kate Spade, but are not available on Kate Spade's website right now. I stumbled upon them at Nordstrom and Bloomingdales, while a quick Google search confirmed Zappos has them as well. I haven't really embraced the bootie trend yet - at least not to wear casually with jeans, but I want to!

What fashion trend are you searching for? Any bootie suggestions?

Tassel Time

Has anyone else noticed that tassels have been on everything lately?

At first I wasn't a huge fan of the trend, because I had never really owned anything with tassels nor had I wanted to. However, this scarf from the Lilly for Target collection completely changed my mind - the multi-colored tassels absolutely make this scarf!

Also, in regards to the sandals - I walked into Target last week to buy a movie and the coveted pineapple sandals were just laying on a front table in my size. I could hardly believe it, and although I definitely didn't need them I couldn't help but get them - it seemed like fate!

Dress: Vineyard Vines (sold out, but available here) / Necklace: Vineyard Vines

The tassel trend continues with this Vineyard Vines necklace I picked up this past week. I go in that store all the time and the sales associates are always rockin' it with their outfits, so I snatched one up (it also happened to match my outfit that day).

I am in lovvveee with this scarf. The tassels are huge and absolutely perfect. I found this one at my local Kate Spade store, but the only place I was able to find it online was Saks Fifth Avenue

What are your thoughts on the tassel trend?
I just ordered this tassel cardigan and am so excited to try it out!

Polka-Spots

Polka-spots are everywhere this fall, and let me tell you - I don't hate it.

I love it.

I know we've all probably read our fair share of posts about the polka-dot trend, but I thought I would share some of my favorite polka-spotted items with you.

(I have a friend who always called polka-dots "polka-spots" and I stole the term from her way back in middle school)

I also love all of the different ways you could wear these items.

You could pair the flats with fun, colored jeans for everyday wear or completely dress them up for work with a black and white outfit

J.Crew has their skirt paired with simple, basic, colorful sweaters

I actually bought this dress and am so excited to wear it on its own in the fall,  and with tights and boots when it gets colder

This sweater is the definition of perfection (despite the fact it's way too pricy). It would be adorable layered over a button down with jeans, paired with J.Crew minnie pants, or with a skirt and riding boots.

What's your favorite polka-spotted item?

Chevron

I really like chevron prints. I think they are chic, fun, and overall very classic. However, I have nothing with this print on it. This week I stumbled upon a few chevron things...

So usually I really don't jump on the bandwagon with trendy/costume jewelry, but I think that these chevron rings are to die for. They would be so fun to mix and match with outfits and are very much on trend at the moment. However, like all things I like they are sold out on the asos website. Not fun. :(

And while we're on the subject of chevron and things being sold out lets talk about this dress. Freshman year I discovered a brand at Nordstrom called "Taylor Dresses" - they fit me so well, and usually have really cute designs. I saw this dress the day they posted it on the website - when I checked back a few days later with the intention of purchasing it....it was sold out. What a bummer.

Apparently chevron and I are not meant to be - in jewelry or clothing form.

Fur for Pippa

Fur is everywhere this winter, and although I'm dying to participate in the trend I haven't found the right pieces yet. And just to add to my disappointment in not bring able to find the perfect fur vest or fur scarf Pippa Middleton stepped out last week in two pieces I'm in love with.

Check this girl out, on the left Pippa paired a fur scarf with a grey Reiss trench coat, and on the right she wore her vest with a pair of French Connection jeans. I'm not quite sure where either of the fur pieces are from (Ahhh major bummer), but she was seen shopping at The London Fur Company a few months ago.

I'm literally dying, these outfits are both too cute for words.

Are you participating in the fur trend? Pippa sure is. Where did you get your fur pieces? I need some help girls, I'm too picky for my own good.

Loafing Around

Obsessed with these loafers from Tory Burch...
Actually I'm pretty much obsessed with everything from Tory Burch

Unfortunately I just picked up a pair of loafers from Talbots so no Tory for me. Are you guys participating in the loafer trend, where are yours from?

I See Spots

Leopard is obviously everywhere this fall. And although I am a full supporter of wearing a leopard sweater, shirt, jacket, ect... I realize not everyone wants to/feels they are able to wear leopard in such large quantities. Thankfully there are also tons of leopard accessories to satisfy your leopard cravings in smaller doses. Personally, I have picked up a leopard headband, skirt, shirt, and umbrella. However, what I'm really loving is the leopard belts and shoes.

All of these belts are from J.Crew and are a great way to participate in the leopard trend in a subtle way. I can't decide if I like the wide or skinny version better, thoughts? Has anyone bought one?

As I said, I also love the idea of leopard print flats but haven't come across the perfect pair yet. Although, I did find these two that I plan on checking out when I head home or possibly ordering.

These little gems are from Calvin Klein, and you can find them here

These are actually my favorite out of all the leopard flats I've seen - I don't think the picture really does them justice. They are made by Lucky Brand and you can find them here .... I would order these in a second but they are sold out in my size.

Do you ladies have any leopard suggestions, are you participating in the trend?
