Kate Spade Metallic Gold Floral Dress

Dress / Heels / Jacket / Handbag (sold out)

This dress is a showstopper. Kate Spade's Creative Director, Nicola Glass, wore it to an award show a few months ago and I knew I had to have it! Where am I going to wear it? I've already worn it to work (yes, I'm a little bit extra) but hey, why not?

The dress is made of silk with metallic fibers woven throughout and the effect is stunning. It's like a pop floral with gold on top of it, and it TWIRLS! I love a good twirling dress. I've been wearing these green, suede Perry Heels with everything this season, and I can last in them all day!

Finally, the question I've gotten 100x in the past month is where is your bow barrette from? They're from the Jane App, but they only have them occasionally - I'll share on my Instagram stories when they're back in stock! I'm thankful that they're in style right now, because I've partially been wearing them out of necessity - I tried a new hairdresser and she cut super short layers, but only right next to my face. They're so strange... thus the clips!

Fab Finds {1/11}

My cupcake coin purse is the perfect makeshift jewelry box.

These GLITTER taxi flats are everything. The non-glitter taxi flats have been around for a while now, but I was never really a fan of the color. When I saw the gold glitter version I was immediately sold - they are so fun (and have little wheels on the sides)!!

...because everyone needs a rose gold glitter champagne purse (myself included)

This polar bear phone case is perfect for winter. I love how some of the snowflakes are actually little bedazzles. I typically try not to buy phone cases (before this I had the same green silicon one I bought the day my phone came out), but I couldn't resist this little guy!

Kate Spade Surprise Sale

If I could only purchase one item from today's Kate Spade Surprise Sale it would be this little owl change purse. He (yes, I am personifying it) was available in my local store about two years ago, but sold out before I could snatch him up. It looks like Kate Spade brought him back for this sale, because I can guarantee there wasn't just extra inventory laying around - he's been going for $100+ on ebay lately.

For reference I posted this picture on Instagram 100 weeks ago, so that's how long it's been since the change purse was last available - I can't wait until he makes his way into my LV!

Not going to lie; I love the change purse version 10x more than the owl clutch. However, it's pretty darn cute too. I think I just like that the change purse is actually kind of shaped like an owl while the clutch is a little more abstract.

I'm in love with this watermelon clutch, but just don't think I would use it enough in order to justify. Plus, I just bought the Kate Spade Creme de la Creme Chocolate Box Clutch (it's perfect).

What are you eyeing? What did you buy?!

Kate Spade Sneak Peek {Novelty Bags}

From what I've heard this adorable cupcake bag will be part of Kate Spade's October collection. My only critique? I wish they had put sprinkles on top instead of cherries! Regardless, purses don't get much cuter than this.

There are also purses that look like pieces of cake in the same collection - too fun! Nordstrom also has a pair of flats from what we'll call the 'candy collection' available right now. They have a little piece of foil wrapped candy on top of them, and I think the gold pair is just perfect!

This wrapped present is perfect for the holidays, but depending on the size I think it could be a little boxy to carry around (haha - get it? boxy??). I couldn't help myself. All jokes aside, this would be the perfect accessory for Christmas parties - just make sure nobody thinks it's their gift from you! I would have to guess this guy will show up in stores November/December.

Elle Japan posted these the other day and I about fell over. A penguin and a whale?! So. Stinking. Cute. I have no idea when these will hit stores, but I would guess December/January just based on the subject matter.

Kate Spade Giveaway {Last Chance} + Kate Spade Sales

Today is the last day to enter my Kate Spade giveaway on Instagram, and you don't want to miss out! The winner will receive four pairs of glitter gumdrop earrings, a wristlet, and a $50 Kate Spade gift card. That gift card would definitely help bring down the price of those adorable novelty clutches I posted about here or my adorable flamingo ring!

Speaking of Kate Spade novelty bags...

I found the brand new (literally just came out on Thursday) chocolate box clutch on Macy's website for $228, which is a huge deal compared to the $398 price tag on it everywhere else. If you want it I'd snatch it up now, because I don't think that price is going to last long...

By the way, I had no idea Macy's sold so much Kate Spade! The reason I stumbled upon their site in the first place yesterday was to look at this adorable tea kettle. It's too cute, and  I think I need it in my life.

Kate Spade Novelty Clutches {August}

I am SO excited for this month's Kate Spade collection. I've been waiting for it to be released since seeing the Fall Fashion Show and guess what?! It's finally here!!

Who thinks of this stuff?? So unique.

Looking at this wallet everyday would make me so hungry (and happy) who can resist a strawberry supreme chocolate bar? Not me.

This chocolate dipped strawberry clutch is absolutely adorable, but I can't see myself actually using it. I know someone out there would be able to rock it though! How would you wear it?

I am beyond excited for this chocolate box clutch, but the price tag made me cringe! Good thing there is a splurge & save deal going on this month. Wait until you see what KS has in store for next month... *teaser* there's a cupcake bag and a red velvet cake bag!

Update: I found this on Macy's website for $228 (it's $398 on KateSpade.com) go snatch it up before they re-price it. I have a feeling this is a mistake...

p.s. Bloomingdales already has a cupcake necklace and cupcake earrings from next month's collection on their website - I can't decide between the two! Also, if you haven't entered my Kate Spade giveaway for a $50 gift card, four pairs of earrings, and a wristlet head on over to Instagram and enter!

Summer Must Have #1

I bought this clutch from Vineyard Vines a few weeks back on a whim, and it has turned out to be one of my absolute favorite purchases. The whicker is so classy and neutral, and the leather closure piece with the pink threading absolutely made it for me. I pair it with everything.

I'm also in love with this clutch from Kate Spade... oh, and to be honest I wouldn't mind this bag either. I could probably go on and on, but I'll stop with those two ;)

Have you found your summer bag?

Kate Spade Friends & Family

Today is the LAST DAY of Kate Spade's Friends & Family Sale. With the exception of the Kate Spade Surprise Sales this is about as good as it gets with 25% off of absolutely everything, so if there's something you've had your eye on I would snatch it up now.

Some of my Kate Spade favorites:

The Edith Dress is my favorite Kate Spade dress of all time - it is sooo much prettier in person, and is super flattering on every single person I've seen try it on. I'm literally counting down the days until I can wear it on Easter (it's still cold here).

The Della Wedges pair pretty nicely with everything in the store - definitely a good neutral-colored shoe for all Spring/Summer.

The Topaz Dress and Tanner Dress are some other cute dress options from the new Monaco collection, and how cute is the model's top knot - seriously chic.

I want this Cedar Street Maise purse in literally 5 different colors - love the structure, size, and all of the gorgeous colors.

I tried on the Goreski Glasses Bangle at the store today (for like the fifth time), and am wishing I had bought it - it's just such a fun, unique statement piece.

Honorable mentions: Jackie Capri and Broome Street Denim (best jeans ever).

Have you bought anything from the Friends & Family sale?

Kate Spade takes Paris.

While I was getting ready this morning I thought I'd browse Kate Spade's website to see if they had any good items on sale (I've been eyeing the Scalloped Hem Jackie Capri), and I was excited to see that they had posted their new arrivals.... and they're PARIS-themed.

I love Kate Spade dresses for work (I usually buy them on sale), and I looove the Hattie Dress. It's simple and elegant with fun, black detailing....and I do not want to have to wait until it's on sale. The Kaslow Coat is wayyy out of my price range, but I could't not post it - it's the ultimate chic coat.

I have fancy clutches, but I have yet to purchase a chic, fancy bag.  It's definitely a "big girl" purchase because buying it implies that you have times where you could actually use it.... I'm not sure I'm quite there yet, but the pink and orange bag comes in black/white and plain black as well and would be perfect for nights on the town.

The tweed purse on top is to die for, but I actually think I would actually like it more without the mod flowers on it. It's definitely a good alternative to the $1,000+ tweed jacket though.

I don't think I've ever met a Kate Spade change purse I haven't loved and the "oh la la coin purse" is no exception. As for the "Paris and the Single Girl" book clutch.... it's adorable, but I already own the "Great Expectations" book clutch, and although I would love to fill a whole shelf with book clutches I feel as though that's not very practical.

What are you loving from February's new arrivals?

Kate Spade Surprise Sale

I have a love/hate relationship with Kate Spade Surprise Sales.

Items I have convinced myself that I can live without suddenly become extremely affordable at the drop of a hat for 2 days only. Not only is the idea of final sale a little terrifying, but I hate that I don't have time to think the purchase over because items go so fast!

I've been eyeing this "Cobble Hill Hayley" bag to use as a work tote for the last month, but had finally convinced myself I have enough tote bags already.....and then Kate Spade discounts it from $428 to $149 - how can someone resist that?!

(as of now I have resisted it, but I'm growing weaker)

Ah....the "Made in the Shade Sunglasses Clutch". I really don't need a new clutch and would actually prefer the sunglasses change purse over the clutch, but if you've been wanting this fun clutch it's a serious steal at $79.

Well those are my two favorite items of the surprise sale, what are you eyeing (or buying)?

p.s. If you haven't entered my earring giveaway out go check it out!

Great Expectations

At first I thought the Kate Spade book clutches were cute but a little odd, but after seeing the Great Expectations book I think I'm in love.

This was the first novel I ever read in high school, and one of the reasons why I am now an English major and an avid reader.

I want it.

I need it.

It's $325.....uh oh.

A Back-To-School Surprise

I worked a 12-8 shift at the pool near my Grandma's house this past Sunday. And around 1:00 I got a text from my brother asking me to stop by my grandma's house and get his hat for him because he left it there when he was mowing her lawn earlier that day - I usually stop by her house after work anyway so I wasn't really too concerned about the whole thing.

Well when I got to my grandma's house she told me to go get my brother's hat from the dining room so I wouldn't forget it when I left (why his hat would be in the formal dining room I'm not sure), but I peeked into the dining room and saw a brown bag but no hat so I just walked back into the kitchen. My grandma then said, "Well go get it" and I said, "Go get what?" because I really had no idea what kind of shopping bag it was since I only saw it from the side...

And then I saw that it was a Louis Vuitton bag....and got very excited.

Little did I know my mom and grandma had gone and returned the Coach bag I purchased the day before, and picked up the "Delightful Monogram" Louis Vuitton bag for me as a surprise.

Loving it :) What's your fall bag look like?

The Great Purse Debate

After dropping upwards of $800 on a Coach bag this past weekend I'm debating whether I should keep it or return it and go out and buy the ultimate big girl bag. Is it time for me to finally purchase my first Louis?

The "Neverfull"

I love this bag but I'm not sure that I love the fact that it doesn't have a zipper - I left my Longchamp unzipped at school once and my Vera Bradley ID holder fell out and it had my credit cards in it :(

The "Totally MM"

Not a huge fan of the Monogram Canvas
The "Speedy"

I loooooove the Damier Ebene Canvas but mom is convinced I wouldn't like a top handle bag.....I'm pretty sure I would love it.

"Trocadero 27"

Or just use mom's old Louis until the right time comes along (aka after college when I have a real job or when someone gifts me one) We thought it was hilarious that they still sold this style since she got it when she was a junior in college (my age) I found it in the basement, and it could make a cute crossbody!

MIA

In love, but it is nowhere to be found. Everywhere I look it's sold out!
Help me find it anyone?

Cole Haan you're killing me!

ebay? may be my only choice...

While I was coaching swim team today I noticed one of the moms had a beautiful bag. I asked her where it was from guessing Cole Haan and I was right - after searching for it for the past hour I finally found it on ebay.

Confession: I'm afraid to use ebay, I don't completely understand it or know if I like the whole idea of it but it seems like a fantastic way to get this bag and other things that are hard to find.

Frustrated.

Recruitment

I finally got my schedule for today at 11AM and my first party was at 11:30.
We have two days of first round and all of mine are today (the first day)

I'm not going to lie, I'm really not happy about this whole thing.
I only got picked by one sorority I liked and the other four were the ones I ranked in my bottom four. I'm really dissapoined, but am trying to stay positive....

My mom definitely helped cheer me up without realizing it when she surprised me by sending me this clutch from Ann Taylor. She is honestly the most gernous, selfless person I know and I couldn't ask for a better mom.

I'm not sure if this whole sorority thing is going to work out, but either way I'm glad I gave it a shot.
